Today, our JU Madam Jenny come in to share with us about 'what is a blog'. She write a lot of blogs and give few example of the blogs she write. She give a overall picture of blogs to us.

Then we learn thesis statement for each of the four strategies used in writing an introductory paragraph. The introductory paragraph is generally one paragraph that introduce the topic and presents the thesis statement to provide the gist of the following body paragraphs. We do activity 2 : write a thesis statement for each group of topic sentences given. We do outline for a essay on " The Hazards of Moviegoing". We also do a task to write concluding paragraphs for the introductory paragraph 1 and 2 .

After lunch, we continue our lessons. During this session, we will be made aware of writing letters as a social activity and at the same time analyse the different type of letters around us and to state the format of a letter. All letters have a format , either a formal or an informal format. We learn how to identify parts of a letter. We discuss whether different parts of a business letter which is essential or optional. In task 3, we label the parts of a letter.
At last , we try to write an application letter for a position using the format and guidelines that is given before.
